Today I updated to 4.0E (without any problems like some had).

After the reboot it said it couldnt connect to the internet.
I have two diffrent SSID on my network and none of them worked (D-Link & Netgear routers),

Tried to manually set the ip and DNS bit but when testing the connection it never goes out on internet.

Tried internet sharing on my iPhone but same problem there.

Is there any way to downgrade or update via USB when the next system update comes?

My wiiU is softmodded and has worked fine until now.

i think the new agreement came out before the update didn't it (in which you would need to agree before being able to update)? but still a good question.

Go talk with Nintendo directly in their live chat.
Here's the link for it http://support.nintendo.com/chat/?s=email

Yeah, go do that and don't forget to tell them you've modded your console. :)

Seriously though, double-check the settings and the online ToS. There is currently no way you could downgrade your system, not without a previous backup of the NAND and a flasher setup.

No, pretty sure I updated first.

Also, did you reboot your modem and router? You need to try that, just in case.

considering that this isn't in the hacking sub-forum, they might not have modded their console.

I don't know about USB updating, but eventually you should be able to get the next update from a game disc, shouldn't you? Granted, that might be months after it's available online.
