Hey guys, I believe it's a 2GB, with the grayish back. While I was moving to Canada, I turned my iPod Touch on from its sleep mode, and it won't turn on. I was sleeping for 20 minutes, woke up, wanted to check the time but it didn't turn on. It's a green poison (I think) jailbroken iPod. It had full battery charge before it stopped.
Whats going on? How do I fix this? What do I do? It's full battery
My computer recognizes it. Even though it doesn't work.

There was never an iPod Touch with less than 8GB internal storage.

This sounds like the LCD got disconnect or died. If so, that's a hardware malfunction and you'll have to get it repaired.

It is possible your iPod is in DFU mode. This occurs when the Sleep and Home button are held down for some time, then the Sleep button is let go of. It's unlikely you triggered this while asleep, but not impossible. If your iPod is in DFU mode, iTunes will be able to restore it:
1. With iTunes open, connect your iPod.
2. If iTunes says it found a device in Recovery Mode, chances are it is in DFU mode. iTunes can restore it, or, if you don't want to lose everything, you can get an application like TinyUmbrella to do it.
3. If iTunes just shows your iPod normally, then it is likely a problem with your screen (hardware malfunction).
4. If iTunes doesn't show your iPod at all, and Windows isn't trying to install any new drivers for it, then there is probably another hardware malfunction that cannot be diagnosed.

If he hasn't made a backup of his .shsh blobs, it won't be possible to keep everything.

However, hopefully Cydia backed up his blobs, otherwise he'll have to restore.

I do agree with you though; it might be a hardware malfunction.

TinyUmbrella can kick a device out of Recovery or DFU more without restoring. No data will be lost. *
Also, if he has an older device, he wouldn't need SHSH blobs to restore. Only iOS 4 and later used SHSH blobs, iirc.

EDIT:*Assuming, of course, the device's firmware is in-tact. If there is an issue that is causing a recovery loop, TinyUmbrella may not be able to fix it, and the device might need to be restored.

Ahh, I forgot about that.

Yes it does. He could try that too.

I think this happend to me before. But mine was refusing to turn off and a got the same thing, but I had to let the battery die. When I pluged it in the charger I got a thing that said the battery was charging then it turned on and was working. I think you might have a differnt issue then I did. This happend before I jailbroke it.

edit: Damn It, I cant believe I replyed to a threed that was started by a banned user
