Why hasnt there been a xbox emulator? Acording to what i know, the xbox had 64mb or ram. the wii has more than that, and there is already one. ive seen laptops with 8GB built in ram (and thats just laptops), i bet that could handel emulating 64mb, so what else matters?

i guess what i basicaly want to know is what is the other(s?) factor besides ram, that alows the wii to be emulated and the xbox not?

note: i did a site search and a google search a couldnt find anything, so sorry if this is posted alot

How is CXBX not an emulator? I don't seem to understand why you are saying it isn't.

He is saying that the emulator is not good enough in his view to be called an emulator. It's just...a demo or something? I don't know.

Also it takes more than RAM to emulate a machine. It's very complicated, and frankly, I don't think there was enough worth-while on the original xbox to warrant the amount of work it takes to make an emulator.

It doesn't matter, an emulator is an emulator. It doesn't matter if it doesn't run commerical games, it's still an emulator.

I remember a xbox code converter existed but it discontinued the xbox runs on a modified windows 2000 so it would not be impossible to convert the games to windows
Yep,

People should remember the XBOX has a Pentium 3 processor.

Bottom line is: the reason there aren't decent XBOX emulators is because not enough people care.

*My definition of an emulator is a software that can act like another game console, and play at least half of the official games (but maybe thats just me
