Gateway for unknown reasons to me can only boot Gateway Mode (sysnand) [hold B when choosing GW mode from MENU] and black screens booting GW Emunand mode.
GW boots emunand just fine. You have to be launching it from a 9.0 firm. If you're one of those people who decided to update your a9lh sysnand, and use a 9.2 emunand to launch Gateway with, then there's your issue. In that case, Gateway is trying to launch 9.2 using 10.x firm when you tell it to boot emunand.

I keep the standard 9.2 sysnand, with a fully updated emunand. My emunand was made through the GW menu (in case something with emunand 9 breaks it).

There's another benefit that i noticed, some games (like EUR Fantasy Life) have some problems with emunand (it crashes in shops and corrupts savegame), but with A9LH you can CFW to sysNand and it prevents those problems (at least with Fantasy Life, is the only game I encountered problems with in emuNand).
EDIT: Well, at least that's what I noticed, it could be a coincidence and the problem was fixed by another thing.
I've never encountered a problem with EUR Fantasy Life on emuNAND

Also, I have a couple of questions:

1 - Does Arm9loaderhax support GW as I would like to still be able to use it to dump my carts and whatnot.
2 - I would also like to retain the ability to use both ReiNAND and RxTools like I am right now (for playing my legit carts and for making .cia files with that xorpad things in RxTools, I cannot seem to actually use the emuNAND part of RxTools as I get the Native Firm 5 problem) but I really am not sure as to how I should approach thiget or if it's even possible to run all these at the same time O.o

Sorry about this, I just really need some help. Also if I may not seem clear at times, I apologise, don't hesitate to ask for clarification.

Thanks

:)

1. You can dump your carts using Uncart which works with A9LH. It is possible to use GW with A9LH (although it's kinda not that easy to launch)
2. You can switch to AuReiNand entirely and make xorpads using Decrypt9 (which is specialised for A9LH now). There's a build of rxCFW for A9LH but without any "Tools" features - they are outdated on rxTools and not needed anymore

Can you elaborate on this? I like where this is going. Although, you can't use the GW menu (shame, it's really handy )? And how would you launch the GW? Retail carts can be played and have saves exported and imported on AuReiNand? I also read something about the GW and sysNAND CFW instead of emuNAND, what's the difference if any?

Thanks for the previous reply :)

It depends on user himself. For example, some people use A9LH to launch EmuNAND. If so, you can keep 9.2 SysNAND and install this version of HBL that launches Gateway into EmuNAND. After that, if you want to play with Gateway, you simply launch your sysNAND with 9.0 FIRM on boot and start this launcher.
Some people, however, use 10.7 sysNAND. Then it's kinda complicated. You need 9.2 EmuNAND. I'm sure someone here tried to install it to 9.2 EmuNAND and it worked but only with Gateway SysNAND mode. I don't remember how to launch it though. Is it done by pressing Down on "Boot Gateway Mode" icon? Or by pressing B? Haven't used my DSTWO+ for ages.
The difference is quite simple: Gateway mode launches EmuNAND while Gateway SysNAND mode launches SysNAND. Nothing special

How does that first option work, can you explain that one in more detail please?

So I've just got A9LH working :)

But how would I run my GW if I wanted to do so? I think holding L+R brings me back to sysNAND.

Can someone help me. I'm a bit confused O.o

Stayed quite some time on Emunand setup... until i wanted to install DSiWare, and only that got me motivated enough to install A9LHAX.
Reliable and fast boot and regaining SD space is nice too :)
