why does the MMZ collection slowdown with cheats?

    all i wanted was some infinite lives, and using some cheat that changes zero's sprite based on which elemental chip is in use

    it doesn't matter what he's using, the game will always lag with too many cheats on or using a really long code.

    @Grink: the best you can do is to turn off some codes.

    its the one that changes the look of the character. that type of code is always a heavy draw. It is essentially telling it to reload from somewhere else a lot of images though the real problem is the fact that it is constantly telling it do so. the lag is because it has to constantly update to the screen. which the original images are already a big draw on the nds resources. adding a redirect to other images... oy its a miracle the game doesn't crash.
    you should really be saying thankyou to whoever made the cheat and got it to not crash the game.
    My recommendation would be to play on a computer in an emulator with nothing else open. that way you can optimize performance by turning off the sound, and anything else that might speed things up.

    I know what u mean.

    Ok heres the solution u cant mix the color change code with any other code. So either oONLY use colour change code or turn it off.
