It's not the same:
- You can launch the games individually.
- It's displayed as full 3d boxes, with different sizes and styles (cd,dvd...).
- You can organize the games. Sort by genres, favorites...

It's not as simple as a channel install.

It's completely different. Install a channel (a wad) is quick and simple (but sometimes dangerous).
Here, you need to install Wiiflow with the emulators plugins. Two links that explains:

What's the difference with this and mastershoes version

You seem a bit lost!

Abz has a full custom wiiflow setup with all the plugins and a lot of extras.

I host cover collections and source menu button sets for wiiflow (accessories so to speak). My forwarder collections are useful for accessing individual apps & emulators from the main wii menu, and not through wiiflow (although they can be accessed and launched through wiiflow, that's not there main purpose).

What are the main differences between the USB loaders?

I'm unsure which one to pick, install, etc.

I've been told that using sneek/EmuNAND is not always of benefit, I've already backed up my NAND and installed basic homebrew emulators from the SD card. (SNES9xGX and VBAGX)
I'm unsure what else can i do or how. I want to set up an usb loader + nintendont to pair with my external 250gb HDD.

You will have to partition the hdd to be able to run wii games and gc games from the same hdd.
