Hacking Why do I need a flashcard?

Hi
Please forget my ignorance.

But, why do I would like to have a flashcard like Gateway3ds or downgrade when I can use any of the existing hacks to use homebrew or install CIAs in my 3DS ~10.3 ?

I haven't used the software myself yet, but according to the videos, there are a lot of ways to run homebrew software (even directly from web) in the last current firmware.

there is no need for a 3ds flashcart... probably makes things easier, but it's not actually needed anymore

Mainly for the ease and the comfort of knowing it's too easy to screw up.

There's the ease of use, and you don't have to install the games, but I think those are the only advantages
