Why are things so expensive?

Things are only expensive because some asshole somewhere got greedy, and wants to keep his profit margin the same, no matter what.

Supply and demand is most likely.
Supply is depending on length of the supply chain, production price, sanctions, safety for the the shipper and safety of the seller.
if i create a product in say germany, i need the costs of production there, the salary of everyone in line to get it to your country covered.
Salaries in germany ain't cheap, for life around these people ain't cheap.
Now nintendo might be a bit better for it'll be japan (or maybe even china) production, but before all the other boxes are checked the price will be higher.
i don't generally agree to the terms above of greed. it ain't cheap to import electronics, get the sevety certificates of said country... there is a long high wall of regulations around electronic imports around the world.
Demand well that's a number that will depend on the price vs salary.
