Gaming Who's waiting for a MegaMan Star Force 3 Dump?

A question for those who played the (J) version. All the previews mention how SF3 is adding english voice acting to the game. Is there much in the Japanese version? I remember getting annoyed at the BN5 port for DS and just undubbed it myself (something about the English voices just rubbed me the wrong way). I'm wondering if I should dig up a copy of the (J) version myself and be prepared to "fix" things once more if the voice acting turns out horribly.

I only played to after you beat Jack but the only voice acting is when he uses specials, pulse in, transforms into finalized form, er double noise?, and maybe some grunting.

The english voice acting sucks. Watch some of the recent trailers you will see or hear.

Along the road to grabbing a copy of Black Ace (J), I started reading up on some of the Starforce 3 info. I am now officially hyped. Battle Network level hyped. I can't wait to get my greedy little mitts on the translated copy.

Red Joker is the better of the two imo. Super Armor is actually very useful (prevents flinching) and Status Guard is decent, especially in Wifi battles.

I played the Japanese version of Black Ace, but I'm going to buy the less popular version of the US release, which is probably going to be Red Joker. =/

I think Black Ace may sell better than Red Joker, because BA looks better than RJ IMO.

It's usually a simple replacement. Unpack both games with something like ndstool, find the voice data file (\data\datbin\com\sound_data.sdat for Black Joker, just opened it up) and replace the (U) version with the (J) version. Repack and (hopefully) enjoy.

Ehh the voice acting isn't really that bad from the way it sounds according to the video. It's still tolerable and not as bad as the one for Suikoden Tierkries.

You should listen carefully when he's charging his lazor (Red Gaia Eraser). Same with Atomic Blazer.

well,since this is the first time the megman BN/SF series has any voice acting, i guess i'll give them a chance, who knows? Maybe 10 hours later, i'll find it alright
