Hacking White Screen on Pokemon White startup

When I load up Pokemon White, it immediately goes to a blank screen. I have the "fix for no$gba" cheat enabled because when it's off, instead of a blank screen, a message pops up that says "save data could not be accessed." I imagine this is really easy to fix (probably just an out of date firmware???) but I'm pretty inept at this sort of stuff and would appreciate some advice first. Thanks in advance.

I use an Acekard 2i and Pokemon White boots up for me just fine without that cheat. I recommend you check to see what firmware you are using for AKAIO, the latest is 1.9.0 which has compatibility fixes for the newer Pokemon games.

Then why did he post this in the Acekard section lol. I know it's related to DS games and what not but still haha. I assumed he was meaning the Acekard for two reasons, one this is the Acekard section of the forums, two he mentioned about outdated firmwares.
