Hacking Which type do I pick?

I'm looking to buy something and set it up for my friend. They have a 3DS. I read that R4i Gold is a good choice. I dont know much about them tho. I have only used Acekart 2i before.
So I went to zhuzhuchina.com and did a search for R4i Gold. A few different versions popped up. How do I know what type to get for my friends 3DS. Not sure what the difference is between them other then the price..
