'Best' is the wrong word to use with R4 cards. It would be better to ask which was the worst and see which had the least votes.

R4 blows (or so I heard, so I'll join the bandwagon and agree). I've read that there's tons of problems with homebrew, moonshell, yada yada yada. Get an i-card (Acekard 2-i, SuperCard DS One-i). That's your 'best' option.

Actually I never had ANY issues with my Original R4 with YSMenu.

However, I have migrated to Acekard 2i as I prefer the interface and it is also better at handling GBA files (with my EZ 3in1). Also better futureproofing (more updates) and cheat support.

For The DS Lite the best flashcart isthe m3 real or acekard 2.1

Well yeah, Cyclo DS, Acekard etc all of those are better than R4... however,
if you want an R4 THAT BAD, then get the original one. You can load something
called YSMenu on it, then it isn't that bad. Otherwise I recommend Acekard...

Since you cannot buy real R4s anywhere anymore with any real certainty (they've stopped making them for a year or more), there's no point in recommending the real R4.
The only way to get one is buying it used, and I wouldn't buy it from someone I didn't know or anyone not in person so I could open shell and see the pcb to verify it's real.

A bad question 'What R4 card is the best?' was asked, the answer to the proper question 'What flash cart should I get?' was given.

Well as your only asking about R4 information

i original is good but as they arnt made anymore id say dont get one as ud probably get a dodgy fake and not know what clone it is.

for an R4 i would recommend the R4i-SDHC (red box if u have a DSi or black if just lite or normal)

there firmware updates regularly and also works with the TTDS firmware (as its a clone of TTDS) and TTDS is what the YSMenu for the R4 uses but with no hasstle as u can use it straight
