i don't know but the original is still safer if skyeditor has nightly builds.

Basically. The regular release are more stable. If you make backups, it shouldn't matter, but if you don't, then I would just stick to the regular release.

Use pksm. It's all done on your 3ds and supports sun and moon

Use the Project Pokemon release. Dev builds have been tested less and could potentially cause major issues (unlikely, but possible).
