She's cool mate my boy is 7 and i load movies on for him as well Ben 10 alien swarm is the flavor of the month lol

CycloDS Evolution
Easy to use, no patching required.

Seriously, it's so easy that i can do it.

Id say go with a r4 for its simplicity
For all the R4 haters out there, it was the best cart in its time i bet in 2 years time everyone will think Acekards suck balls

I am one of those R4 haters and I owned 1 like a year and half-2years ago and it was terrible even then I've found the EDGE card to be the best card for simplicity, its easy to set up and its easy to access your games e.c.t.
Back then when there were still updates the R4 could run almost all games perfectly. Now that there aren't any updates and with the new AP measures, the R4 is obviously gonna look less appealing than other carts with features, updates and stuff. And the R4 isn't simple enough? You're joking right? And the R4 is easy to set up as well, just drag the moonsh and _system_ folder and your roms into the SD and you're done.
I agree the R4 is a pretty good choice even today:
Easy to setup
100% Compatibility
BUT...
With all the clones out and lack of updates other carts like acekard or m3 are reccomended i still have an r4 and still use it a lot but still i prefer my acekard because a better gui and support

>_>

The Acekard is good but I doubt a 7 year old will master it, quickly. A CycloDS is your next best option. Good compatibility, easy to use menu, Win!

For ease of use R4 used to be the best. But with all the patching and stuff you end up doing these days and unofficial firmware bullshit it's much too complicated for a 7 year old, get a card that stays up to date and works with most stuff. AK2 should be fine.

CycloDS Evolution is worth it, the team are still developing after being around for so long. Simple GUI and great compatibility.

My 5 year old uses an Acekard2, it's plenty easy, well put together and most importantly, relatively cheap.
Don't spend a lot on a cart for a kid, they'll figure it out just fine, trust me.

A 7 year old has more brain power than some are giving credit for here. Buy something reliable, cheap, and easily replaceable when it gets eaten by the dog.

My 3 and 6 year olds both navigate Sakura on M3izeros with no problems whatsoever.

Hell, my three year old was showing his mother the other day how to go through touchpod to start the genesis emulator and play the old sonic game that she likes.

Give the kid some credit. In a month or two with it she will be teaching you things.

I use DSTT-ADVance because its side loaded microSD. You can't tell from a real cart. I pull the sticker out and put a nice froggie and all my family got those with moonshell 2 as firmware using YSmenu. No one knows what they are exept for me.

Dont buy a dstt adv its a clone:
May damage ds
Doesnt get good support

I reccomend the m3i zero now that zelda is fixed i prefer it over acekard 2 it also has side loading so it mimics a game carts and it has more features and a better team supporting it so its down to acekard 2iand m3i for you both are the current best carts out now

Hey rockstar how many post you do in one night? I was somewhat sure you were gonna say something anyhow I never heard of anyone damaging there DS with DSTT clones there just copies(I dare you finding a thread where someone did) Gnight

I havent too but seeing its made by a clonecompany it cant be trusted for all i know it might be a great cart but mabye your unit was good but ive heard lots of reports of r4 clones briking peoples ds so just to clear the risk might as well steer clear of clones just to be sure

Hope i made my point clear

Rockstar you are thinking of the N5. Only cart known as the ds fuse blower. I have never heard of any cart that will brick your ds.

I'd say go for an EDGE or Acekard for easiest GUI.
Probably go for the Acekard over the EDGE imo since compatibility is something your kids/cousins whatever might say something since they might want to play the newest games.

R4 and N5 clones bricking DSs¸= true. Not DSTT because they probably come out from the same factory lol. The fact is. I got 3 kids this is somewhat what I think the best for them. No one knows they have a flashcart not even them hehe.
