Hacking which kit to get

I am a noob, but have been reading a bunch of different forums and reviews on slot 2 and slot one cards. I would like to get a kit to watch videos and play music. I would like to get games onto my memory card but don't know how, so i will stick with what i have videos and music. can anyone point me in the right direction. For my needs would a slot one be better? If so which card would you recommend?

for videos and music, I would recommend an r4(a slot 1 solution). it uses micro sd cards. a 1gb kingston micro sd from newegg is $25 shipped. an r4 is only $53 shipped on winsunx.com. It would cost you $78 total. the r4 also could be used as a passme in case you buy a slot 2 in the future.
