Hi Thanks for reading. I have just updated to homebrew 9.00, in the modded warfare tutorial it says to insert a usb flash drive with a 4mb file called exfathax.img, as the homebrew is being " installed ".
But what i found is this flash drive needs to be inserted everytime the ps4 is turned on, this " hack " needs to be run again and again everytime i want to use homebrew. Is this normal. Am i doing something wrong. In the previous homebrews they just ran without a problem, but this 9.00 is asking for the flash drive to be inserted averytime i switch the ps4 on and run the homebrew in users guide.
Also i am using the alazif homebrew. Do you think nightking or any of the others may be better.
Any opinions at all. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
Thanks

Keep it in Rest Mode and activate the option to keep suspended apps active so PS4 will feel like it's Semi-CFW'd.

use usb hub with a toggle button, it will help instead of plug it in plug it out it may cause your ps4 usb ports to be broken

Is there any possible danger with being in rest mode on the ps4 for extended periods of time.
It makes me think, because I have one of those 5.1 surround audio systems which goes into rest mode, whenever i play some music the audio system detects the audio and switches on so that i can hear the music /audio.
The problem is, although the system is in standby waiting to be used, so theoretically is doing little work, the power supply section is on all the time to keep powering the entire system.
There have been complaints, as the power supply is having to work constantly, it is more prone to breaking down. Other people have purchased the same audio system that i have and are having to return it for servicing, usually a damaged transformer or some other power supply component.
I would have thought as the audio system is only in standby it is not using much power, so the power supply section should not be doing much work, should not be overheating, but it is, and seems that some electronic hardware items are more prone to this problem than others. Do you think this may apply to the ps4, do you think keeping the ps4 in rest mode for extended periods may reduce its life expectancy, or be detrimental in some way

Ever since I soft modded my PS4 Slim it goes to Rest Mode without any probs.

However, if I activate Orbis Toolbox it shuts off my PS4 when I turn it on from Rest Mode. That's a shame because it's a handy feature, but I'll wait for a stable release.

yes if you have power outage it can broke your ps4 power supply, that's why i turn off my ps4 after finished playing

That's true, too.

Back at my parents house there's always a power outage if there's too many powerful electrical devices turned on.
