Depends on how much money you have. If you have the money for either, I would say DSi: it has all the features of the DSL and more (e.g. camera, better internet, DSi shop). It can also run flash carts. But if you play GBA games frequently, I would get the DSL since the DSi doesn't support that.

If you have the money recommend DSi. I've had one for a little over a year now and I love it. I use it as my personal camera, as I don't have my own. I also use it for games. The lack of GBA support is disappointing, but I don't mind it.

Edit: Revolution beat me

Hi all!

I just want the opinions of people with the Nintendo DS Lite or DSi.

Which is better?
Depends. Want any DSiware? Want a cheapy cheap cheap-o flash cart? Want GBA support?

If you answered Yes Yes Yes, then i'm sorry, a DS is not for you.
If you answered Yes Yes No, then i'm sorry, a DS is not for you. Still.
If you answered Yes No No, then a DSi is in your future.
If you answered No Yes Yes, then a DS Lite is for you.
If you answered No No Yes or No Yes No, then a DS lite is for you.
If you answered No No No, then a DSi is for you.
If you answered No DSiWare, no Flashcart, no GBA, then I don't know what to tell you.

Nobody has actually thought of the extra RAM through slot 2? I want to see you try and play Quake 2 on a DSi

I put DSi, but honestly it depends on what you want. DSLite is outdated, but to be fair it is fairly fixable on its own (LR button issues and the like). I like the DSi for its features, and I was sure to get it after flashkarts worked on it

. I still have 2 DSlites (one functional, one not) so I didn't really have to choose, but neither is "better", it just depends on your preferences. Honestly for a while I thought my DSi was a waste, but over time I found it harder and harder to switch between the DSi and DSlite. That select+volume for the light is so important to me now. @__@; along with other minimal things that all add up.

DS Phat man!

DS Lites and DSi's are built like crap. Bumpers and hinges can crap out within two years. DS Phats on the other hand are practically indestructible. Sure they're bulkier, darker, and uglier, but they're built like tanks. I've had mine for 4 years and all the buttons work fine and the hinge still works (despite it only being partially attached to it).

But between those two I'd go with DSi. People bitch about it not having a slot-2 but really, who gives a shit. You should have a GBA for a reason. Plus DSiWare, Opera Browser, camera, and fancy GUI are nice features.

DSi. I don't get the point of still buying a DS lite (other than because of GBA games/slot 2 games like Guitar Hero).
