I use the MCE PC in the front room, it has front USB ports that make things easier than my rig, and lot's of storage.

My craptop (getting tomorrow

) will be running DSL(Damn Small Linux)

My compy runs Ubuntu 7.10 but when I get my new HD I will be putting openSUSE on it and formatting the other HD(after I have taken my stuff off it)

Windows. I'd like to give Linux a try but It (Ubuntu and Pardus) Can't see my ntfs partitioning at all. (Mac is not an option for me)

You might want to give a more up to date version of Ubuntu a try. 7.04 Feisty Fawn had NTFS read access right out of the box, and setting up write access wasn't exactly rocket surgery. 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon has NTFS read/write by default.

All 7 of the PC's in this house run some form of Windows XP.

Same with me. 4 use XP, 1 use Vista, 2 Lappys use XP and 1 use Media Center.

(What is this doing in the R4 thread? And please, Linux is not a computer it's an OS and your the same guy that posted the "Which computer your prefer" or some shit. Why post this in the R4 section?)

Linux on my PC!
And I haven't fixed so it mounts it automatically, so I have to mount it first, then transfer the files, then unmount. It's not hard, just tedious. But i can manage
