When I play a game from my USB/HDD, where does put my save files (and for that matter, where are regular DVD games savegames saved?)

I ask this, because I always thought the wiimote/the wii held my savegames, but when I copied my NSMwii game from my USB stick to my new HDD, my savegames where gone...

Yes, well...does it count for all wii games? (the USB loaded games too?)
If so...why were all my save file gone when I transferred new super mario bros wii from a USB tick to a HDD?

uloader can allow loading and saving of game saves to a fat32 partition HDD which keeps your nand from getting filled too quickly

Are you running SNEEK/UNEEK? If so, make sure you have the same NAND dump on your SD/USB, as your savegames will be in there.
