Hacking When it is needed to update B9S and how ? (11.8)

Hello,
I have an O3DS with Luma 9.0, B9S 4.0.0 and FW 11.7 and would like to update to FW 11.8.
I saw that Luma 9.1 is out and I updated to be compatible with 11.8.
I saw that B9S 4.0.1 is out and is the only version to be compatible with 11.8, should I update B9S and if yes how ?
Reading the forums, I understood that I don't need to update B9S, only Luma, but I don't understand why. If this is right, when does B9S need to be updated ?

What? Boot9Strap only goes up to 1.3. B9S 1.2 or 1.3 can both run Luma 9.1 on 11.8. Luma was the problem with 11.8, not B9S.
