Gaming When are we going to be able to message our friends?

I miss Pictochat. If they gave the 3DS an online version, it'd be awesome.

This is what needs to be done, im seriously shocked nothing like this came in the update.

my friends message and arrange games through 3DS

you get a twice blink orange light when new message

you just see whos online and change you message accordingly

we all know how to use this system and you can do it without closing the current game

uses the Wifi

By any chance, are you referring to the "message status" that's located on top of all the mii's on your friend's list? If so, that's one cumbersome message system.

For the OP's purpose, the "status message" as you ingrates are calling it, would suffice.

I did not. I simply asked a question and stated my thoughts on it. Some things just don't sound right typed.

Assuming they make a messaging client, Nintendo could go either way in terms of complexity.

In either case my point was that your claim of Nintendo taking a year to develop a messaging system is completely absurd.
No matter how complex it gets, there's no way they could spend a year developing it.

They could make a seperate app for it instead of trying to integrate it with the friends list, that way it wouldn't take as long to develop.
