We must, in the course of our lives, prepare to death at some point or another, because we can't do anything about it.

It's probably likely that you can't even imagine death, and what you really fear is the moment just before. But that is just a guess.

The worst part, for me, is the not knowing.

I’m the kind of person who likes knowledge. I enjoy knowing. I like being prepared. If I’m about to do something, I like to research as much as possible so that any issues that might arise can be swiftly corrected.

It’s almost literally impossible to do this about this topic. Which is unfortunate because, as already stated, everyone who has ever lived or will ever live will at one point experience death. Sure, you can talk to people who have been clinically “dead” and people who have had “near death experiences”, but almost universally each experience is unique. Or nothing.

The only way you could really prepare is also quite literally going to ensure that, for a time, you will be clinically dead.

So yeah. It’s the not knowing that scares me.

I think its that sometimes you dont even know you simply died, like, some people just sleep and then *poof* you're dead
