Hardware What's The Deal With The Wii U's Audio???

I have a 5.1 audio system yet I can't seem to get cutscene audio to act correctly when the Wii U has its surround setting on. It's annoying. In Bayonetta and Mass Effect, cutscene audio is very hollow and will only sound normal when I place the console in stereo.

Does your audio system support 5.1 LinearPCM? Wii U's audio output is very finicky, and may or may not work with every A/V receiver or audio system.
