I recently got a mod chip professionally installed. It came with two preburned games. They work perfectly. If I want to burn my own discs what is the best method? I have imgburn installed and ready to use. What write speed should I use? I hear Verbetim works the best but are there others that do the job as well that may be more commom to buy? Is DVD-R better then DVD+R? I would appreciate any help

Only use DVD-Rs. I am pretty sure that's all that can be read by the Wii Laser.

Verbatim's good, and I have used Maxell as well and have had no issues.

Do not burn your games at the slowest speed; go as fast as possible. If 8X is as fast as you can burn the image, do so. If you want to burn a DVD9 copy of Brawl (onto a DVD+R... DVD-R DLs are quite uncommon), you will need to manually set the layer break to "2084960". Changing the booktype to DVD-ROM, if possible, is also recommended.

DVD-Rs seem to have better modchip compatibility than DVD+Rs. Verbatim may be considered the best, but Memorex is quite good as well.

Hope this helped.

I Agree Use IMGburn at 2x or 2.4x

Also use Sony DVD-R (Black discs)

They work on almost every console I've modded (Xbox, Xbox 360, Ps2 and Wii).

I've never had a pile of "Coasters" on my coffee table with these discs.
