I've been using LogMeIn Free for a while and I think it's very limited.

Any other suggestions?

In my experience it depends on what you want to do (simple file transfer or more complex) and how you want to use it: over local network or over internet/equivalent.

NirCmd http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/index.html and whatever a company uses for remote desktop coupled with basic SAMBA/ftp server and a liberal helping or portableapps ( http://portableapps.com/ )/some low demand linux distro like puppy linux) usually sorts me for this sort of thing.

I use Ultra VNC as its a generally accepted standard and plus I can access the VNC over my iPhone using the 3G network. It may not be the most secure solution though...you may desire something more.

I also like UltraVNC, espiclaly the Java thing.
It'll host a webserver that runs a Java program thingy so I can access it at places without installing anything
Unless they don't have Java
