Gaming What will you first do when you get your 3ds?

If you preordered, what will be the 1st thing you do when that 3ds lands on your doorstop on the 25th?

I'll open it, use the sound channel, lament over why I can't buy any games for it (because I'm broke), then go play Minecraft.

It won't be on my doorstep, it'll be straight from GameStop's grubby hands me picking it up.

I think I will try and communicate with the other people picking theirs up, so I can see how StreetPass works and stuff. Maybe play a round ot two in SFIV3D if anybody else is getting it.

I'll most likely save the AR until I get home. I AM looking forward to it though.

Well, first of all im gonna have to wait for christmas.

Buuuuut, if OoT havent come out by then i will go nuts, worst case scenario.

The first thing on my list is to register my 3DS on Club Nintendo. With the 160 coins from my DSi and whatever amount of coins I get from the 3DS that will put me over 250 coins. They just recently added a reversible cloth pouch for the DS systems:

I want to register ASAP and order it before people get home with 250 coins worth of Nintendo products and they sell out of them.

The second thing I am going to do is immediately apply screen protectors. I am sort of anal about my screens.

As far as actual usage of the console the first thing I am going to do is pop in Steel Diver. Even if its not the best game ever I am excited that Nintendo is putting out a new IP that really takes advantage of the systems new capabilities.

Fiddle around with the settings then everything in it.

Read the manual to unravel some secrets (like the Hold Select + Volume to adjust brightness anytime on my DSi, a trick that I just found out a year after I got my DSi >.>)

Probably just unpacking it, try out the AR cards, play Face Raiders, maybe take a look if I could download playable demos or something like that via Wi-Fi. And then wait for Zelda, (Paper) Mario or Starfox to be released because I won't be picking up one the launch titles.

But now i changed my mind I think I'll wait to see more games and some price drop then I'll go and pick it..

But the first thing I'm gonna try when I get one in my hands is the AR Cards.

Anyways, I am really pumped for the 3DS. I always have believed Nintendo has it in them to make great innovations to gaming and I hope this fits the bill.

I know there are a lot of Shovelware titles coming in the future, but I KNOW Nintendo will come through with their titles for sure.
