ROM Hack What Was the Last Twilight Menu++ Updater Update before Discontinued?

Hello, I need to know the last update version that occurred before the twilight menu++ updater app was discontinued. This is because I need to know if I need to follow different instructions to update my menu. Thanks.

I did already download universal updater but heres the problem. It says that “If updating from a version older than v16.4.0, please move your .sav files for DS games to a new folder called saves, with the saves folder being in the same place as the DS ROMs.” This is why I need to know what version of twighlight++ i have.

it's always been like that from what I remember. I've never had issues with saves, and I check every update with the same few games.

I just checked to make sure, but saves can be in the same directory as roms if using a flash cart, but using the micro sd on the 3ds requires they be in the saves folder within the folder with your roms. this is only for nds roms. gba, gb, etc. can be in the same folder as the roms for either nds or 3ds.

Ok. Now I need help with the widescreen support. I downloaded the TWL widescreen app but its not working and im following all the directions right on a youtube tutorial. Does it not work with 11.15 new firmware update? Please help.

I think widescreen patches are built into twilight menu++ now, so you don't have to do that one thing with one of files on the 3ds anymore. check new super mario bros or dragon quest ix. I know those two games display in widescreen.

Ok heres what I did what you just told me to do isnt working for some reason. I went twilight menu, then I went to pokemon platinum(which is widescreen supported), then i pressed select, then i went to options, then I pressed misc. options, and where widescreen is supposed to be it was not there. Am I still doing this wrong?

Ok but how did you get it to do screen aspect ratio on the image you have there? I dont know how to do that.

I have it set to default. you can change screen size in global settings. just press select to go to the home menu, go down to the thing that I think looks like a ds, click on it, scroll over a couple times, then look for that setting (think it's near the top iirc).

Ok so I figured out how to do it finally! In a comment section of a guide I found on youtube it said to press select and power to go to firmware screen and then checkmark to allow new software and also updates. However, the screen is blurry as you can see even though I picked sharper picture when updating. Please help?

no idea what you're talking about with the new software and updates thing. I've never had to do something like that.

do you mean luma? I think I know what you're talking about then. yeah, you have to enable an option in there for widescreen support iirc.

yes, that's the option I was thinking of. I had forgotten about it 'til you mentioned pressing select and power. as far as getting a sharper image, I don't know. the image is blow up a bit for widescreen, so it's bound to make some things blurry.

one thing I discovered is that the folders that you hide in twilight menu are hidden in windows unless you have "show hidden files and folders enabled." I have it enabled anyway for the vita. anyway, everything works except I have to click on "show hidden files and folders" in fbi every time (wish there was a way to enable this option by default, maybe there is?). it's not a big deal though.

Wow thank you for this, I could never figure out why the widescreen was not working in TWiLightMenu++, and now I am today years old all over again
