Culdcept is unlike any other DS strategy game I've played. If you aren't even willing to try a game that requires some thought in order to win, then go Halo or some other overhyped bullshit.

Sounds to me like you're just impatient, or have terrible taste, because most of the games you "hate" are highly rated, and wouldn't have been translated otherwise.

You couldn't visit GameFAQs once? Your problem solving skills seem severely lacking. Fix that, or adult life is really going to suck for you.
Now that you said that, I was willing to try it... But then I saw a gameplay video. It looks fun but I don't think I have the mental capacity for this. I didn't have the mental capacity for Phoenix Wright, and that's not that high on the 'required to think a lot' scale..... Kind of reminds me of a mix of Mario Party and Final Fantasy Tactics... Interesting yet you'd think it'd go for spontaneous combustion when turned on.
I just don't really get it now.

And I probably do have terrible taste. I mean, I like that Flips! series. And flippin Elf Bowling. :\

And I did visit GameFAQs... It didn't help me because I was doing exactly what GameFAQs said to do, and it just wasn't working. Maybe I got a bad ROM or something.

Unfortunatly not many. The American ds owner gets screwed. We only receive a fraction of the awesome titles japan gets. in the future I would like to see all games have a mandatory english option so at least we could import it. And yes the ds translation scene is pathetic but that will change in 2-5 years when people get proper tools and we see the real translators come out. Look at the snes, translations of those games are just hitting there stride.

I hate to say this..but this is basically how I view American gamers..Impatient,unwilling to try games that don't involve over sized football players with chain saw guns or dont have Space marines in green armor. IMHO its gotten more and more worse here. The top rating games that end up getting overhyped and overplayed are games exactly like the examples I have given. Now im not saying everyone follows these trends but it seems its the majority and its really sad and annoying. To be honest I don't blame the Japanese for not sending some of their awesome games over. No one will play them!

You could've looked at the list.

Released there's Jump and Soma Bringer. Unreleased there's ASH and soon-to-be finished Tales of Innocence.
I did look, but on the more recently updated Translation Project topic, most of them said "nearly finished" and I was left wondering how much is nearly finished.

>.> Is that it? Seriously? I've already got the Soma Bringer one, and I don't want a translation patch I find out about before it's finished.

Yeah, Soma Bringer is like 98.87% completed or something. Look at the list and follow the link to the topic.
Translation patched Soma Bringer is already on my card. LOL I'm probably not even halfway through though.
I loved that game so much !

Your flag says your American.

And you're making broad stereotypes and acting like a complete weaboo. Games with chainsaws (MadWorld, Gears of War), guns (at least 50% of games), or green Space Marines (Halo) are fun. You're being completely ignorant and saying that American gamers are stupid and only Japanese games are good, essentially. Japanese games aren't all they're cracked up to be; people just like them because they're Japanese. Some of the greatest games are American ones.

You're really pathetic...what you're saying doesn't make any sense at all...bitching in every post won't change anything, maybe the mods will get pissed off about me reporting all of your posts and suspend both of us.

You know the Japanese companies don't give a rat's ass whether you play your imported copy in Japanese or English, eh?

The DS translation scene is pathetic? Do something to change it then...at least we try to give something back to the community rather than bitching in every single post we make. You could at least appreciate our effort...

Define what proper tools are... You know in most cases each DS game has it's own different file formats, a universal DS translation tool or something like that will never exist.

*ahem*
I think this thread needs to get back on topic or closed
It's meant for finding the completed translations
not for flaming and harshing on others opinions
Thank you ^^

good games are good games. most of the japanese games seems weird to us but some of them are just amazing especially jprg. we need more of them.

@Guild. I don't feel that Im being ignorant, and I never said I wasn't American and I see that whenever someone doesn't fall over FPS's they are automatically a weeaboo-never claimed Japanese games were superior my problem is that the current trend in the united states is just what i mentioned earlier (the chainsaw reference was to gears of war, not madworld) and its kind of bothersome to someone like me who would rather see more games like Shadows of The Colossus than another Halo game. Call me a weeaboo if you want I just dont agree with shooters being at the top like they are now..
