Hacking What to buy: PS3 or PS4?

As said in the title, I'm currently wondering what to get as a PlayStation console. There are some questions I also have to go with that:
1. Which one is better in terms of running homebrew and backups?
-> If so, is there support for loading both from the Internal Drive or is it all external?
2. Which one is better for ease of hacking?
3. Is there any hope of getting a spoofer for online play on the PS4 soon?

If I could get any help with this it would be great. Thanks in advance!

1- PS3, to run backups on a PS4 it's firmware must be 4.55 or lower

You can replace the internal Hard drive, PS4 supports external hard drives but only on newer FWs

2- PS3 on older FW, PS4 is easy to hack on any of the hackable FWs

3- Maybe, but you´d probably get banned if you go online with a pirated game anyway

If you just want to free games get a PS3 or you could try to find a PS4 on 4.55

I have PS3 and PS4. A PS3 is for jailbreak that I have been used for more than 6 years ago and still use it today. And for PS4 with a FW 2.57.. I will wait a little longer since 4.05 exploit is not permanently. You have to do it again after your PS4 shut down. It is already piracy but for homebrew .. Not much. If you can afford for both then go for it. If not, go for PS3 since you are looking for homebrew and piracy plenty.

Some things remain, depending on the exploit you load but yes, you need to run something like HEN every time you reboot the console. Though I will say it's not a very big deal to do so.

It's still in the very early stages of the scene but since the 4.05 exploit was released publicly, it really has been taking off. New tools are being released almost every day and new devs are popping out of the woodwork like crazy that are friendly, easily approachable and have no issue sharing their work. Reminds me of the scenes of old. No in-fighting, no bickering, just people sharing their tools and works. It's been a very long time since I felt so hopeful about a scene.

This doubles the excitement as it's not that difficult to find a pre-4.05 firmware at a decent price. Only took me about a week to source a brand new console and it was cheaper than buying a brand new console in store and was a Destiny Taken King limited edition to boot--which is one of the most beautiful limited edition consoles I have ever owned.
