Hacking What to avoid with a black wii

I recently purchased a black wii after my day-one wii stopped loading discs properly.

Now then, I know that there is some sort of hardware difference in the black wiis that causes it to brick when performing backuploading with a certain method. But I don't know anything specific; I just heard that some time ago.


So I'd like to know what I should not when it comes to softmodding a black wii.

I also a bit more to say that's not on-topic per se' in this forum section, but I figured it'd be better to keep my questions to one topic than to make one in the backup-loaders section.

Can someone reccomend a back-up loader to me that they use on their black wii? Thanks in advance for this too!

you can use any of the usb loaders on any softmodded wii. color and system menu don't matter all usbloaders work. loading from disc will not work on your black wii or any other new wii with a d3-2 drive. that's really the only thing that your wii won't do. oh and read dvds, which again is due to the d3-2 drive and it effects all new wii's regardless of color.
