Something to do with "insert holiday name", a slightly non-descript puzzle and a timer that is counting down to about 12pm in america time or sumink.
Come on we can do this!
I've read rumours that Portal 2 is releasing early... I don't wanna get my hopes up and be heartbroken when it turns out to be the countdown to a new trailer or something...

The Redditors are at it again, this time discovering a hidden countdown timer on the Aperture Science website. For those unfamiliar, Aperture Science is an organization within the Portal franchise.

Is this the countdown timer for an early Portal 2 release? It's a possibility that this means digital purchasers can begin playing tomorrow.

The game is still scheduled to be on store shelves on April 18, 2011. We haven't heard anything about boxes showing up early, so it's probably not a full-fledged release tomorrow. Considering Valve likes digital distribution, there's nothing stopping them from giving those who used Steam to purchase a headstart.

Of course, it could also be some kind of trailer in the same vein as the recent Aperture videos. Or it could be a new Aperture Science website itself. I suppose we'll have to wait until 9AM PDT tomorrow to find out.
