Don't use CCCP and VLC together use either CCCP and Media PLayer Classic(what I use) or VLC by itself in my opinion. VLC is a great player but i've only seen it not work with two codecs which one is a terrible codec I try my best to avoid(RMVB) and the other was some codec used in some anime I watched that I can't remember(why I switched to MPC+CCCP)

By the way if you do plan on getting CCCP look here for players that work well with it http://www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php...ed_with_CCCP.29

On a sidenote, I also find what Ferrariman said kinda funny not because it's idiotic(can't say that since I've never used the program) but isn't Rocketdock an app launcher? So wouldn't using it AND Launchy be redundant?

No one really cars abotu your Eset buisness edition. If you've noticed everyone has been ignoring it (but me) since we are alright with our Anti Viruses.

Foobar is very troublesome too. A little too much for me... So I am considering using Songbird. I tried to skin it, but I am getting lazy to find guides. So Songbird for meh. If there is something else out there, tell me. I want something that is fast, simple, clean and easy to use. Skinning is a plus, but it does not need to be skinnable.

RKLauncher, I used to use it. But then, I realized that RocketDock was better xDD. But they are almost the same. Rocketdock just has a better bounce than RKLauncher and I think that was why I switched between the two.

Now I understand why codecs are more important. I think I might stick with Songbird. Gonna install it now...

It seems like I don't need any more extra programs ^^.

I got all that I need... but a nice media player. I am gonna try Songbird and if it doesn't go too well, I will have to try something else.

So a image mounter. Gonna get one, I used to use MagicDisk. And I was quite satisfied with it, so will try that again. And Songbird is awesome! I am loving it right now, and am gonna keep it as my media player ^^

I recommend Foxit Reader for PDF files.

Well, even though you mentioned that you wouldn't need Launchy, I'll just recommend it again simply because I hate pulling up the start menu/desktop. I don't see any problem with launching things in mere seconds rather than going through the trouble of fiddling through shortcuts and whatnot.

Also instead of CS4, if you want to save HDD space, you could probably just go with CS3; it's virtually the same thing, unless of course you're going to work on 3d models. I still have CS2 though, and it pretty much has everything I'd probably need.

Anyhow...

- VLC
- WinAMP
- Media Player Classic (VLC is silly)
- CCCP/K-Lite Codec Pack (choose one)
- Digsby (if you like multiprotocol instant messaging)
- (why not NOD32 instead of avast?)
- mIRC

CDBurner, will check that out.

Launchy? No thanks again x). I am already fine with my dock.
Gah... Too lazy to re-download everything again... So sticking with only CS4 since I won't need to download it.

VLC, Winamp, Media Player Classic, I am happy with Songbird. Since I just need it for listening to MP3s.

Digsby, I am still gonna stick with Windows Live and Yahoo. Don't ask why.

NOD32, is it free? If it isn't, then don't recommend it... But then again, that's why I have uTorrent xDD.

mIRC, don't need it... Yet. Let me just try fixing my PC first.

Alright... So after a re-installtion of windows... Again, I am gonna need a good anti-virus, and anti spyware/malware.

I am currently using avast! and Ad-Aware right now. What do you recommend that is free or you will need to pay for, since I am gonna end up being a pirate in the end... Which tells you enough.

Uninstall Ad-Aware, install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Keep Avast! it's good.
