What is up with my battery.

I replaced my switch battery yesterday, and these numbers are so odd. I don't know anything about batteries, but this seems very wrong. I'm recalibrating the battery rn, but it'll take a while and I'm honestly a bit worried my switch might explode or something, so is this something I can try to calibrate and wait out? I played for a bit last night after the replacement and didn't notice any glaring issues, temperatures and performance were fine, and I don't even remember seeing numbers this high when I checked originally.

To recalibrate it correctly, run the Switch until it shuts off on its on, fully dead. Then recharge overnight, 8+ hours, then repeat, run dead and recharge. This will recalibrate the battery levels.

dumb question, is it alright to let it die in Hekate? it wont like, screw up anything it'll just boot back into stock once I get it charged right?

Yea but that'd take forever and prob not good for screen stuck on same image for hours. Just play games on it until it shuts off. Once charged can boot like before, to stock, or auto-rcm if you have that setup.

sorry for the reply but youve been helpful lol. I let my battery drain for about 4 hours before it died at 50%. is this normal when calibrating the battery? ;u;

Battery calibration is 100% -> 0% -> 100% for two cycles

Charge it back to 100% (4.2V), then to 0% (3.2V), then back to 100%. Check note
This will count as 2 full charge cycles and the % will probably be fixed on its own, or at least get closer to the correct one.

Note:
Mind you, that when you reach 100% it's not actually 100%. You need to leave it at 4.2V so it can saturate. Leave it charging for additional ~1-2 hours after you see 100% (time depends on the charger used).

you used a battery with your switch? Recall: assault and battery can be illegal, why use battery on a switch you already own? No wonder the switch diagnostic signs are off. The poor thing might be damaged from your battery of it.
