I would like to know before doing it, as I am unsure as to what can go wrong.

    Thanks.

Aside from the occasional frustration of a game not loading, nope.

All homebrew/modified code comes with risks.
Besides, if you've brick-blocked yourself you shouldn't be worrying much [IMG]

Glad you enjoyed my quick image based response [IMG]

    1. If you get a bad installer you can brick your wii.(very low risk)
    2. If your on a newer firmware it wont install properly and requires a downgrade (no wii issues)
    3. Downloading games is illegal and can get you arrested - backing up games is also illegal in some countries
    4. By installing the Homebrew channel and backup loader you can void your warranty.

If you install/run bad code, your wii can be rendered useless (aka, a brick).
Brick-Blocking is a fail-safe. Some apps include this feature (ie. Starfall)
