Hacking What is the next step.

A little overwhelmed with all the info.
Hope somebody can help me get this setup. I have 4.2u version with hbc in it. But I don’t know what to do after that. Should I be connected to the internet to download files?
On the hbc there is an option for wad manager but don’t know the steps to go about from there. I have an external hd and wanted to play games from it. What else do I need to know. Thank you for any help.

I'm not an expert in the Wii scene (in fact, it goes over my head a little, unless I decided to learn), but I would've thought you needed to be, yeah...
