Indie devs don't have a lot of money like bigger companies do, and most of them have less resources to work with compared to a triple A game company.

Privacy is when you do something and no one except you and those you have invited get to look into what you are doing. If you for example have a private conversation with someone and the other party can press a button, that lets a peculiar person read your conversation, that is not private!

And when this peculiar person is not amused by what you are saying, you might find yourself in a situation like this:
