The new aureinand versions 5.0 and the hourlies now have the option to permanantley overclock games (or the whole cfw?). My question has to do when enabling the option it shows clock and L2, but what is L2 if its not a button?

Edit: I started looking at repair websites for the 3ds and it seems like the original 3ds has something called a L2 / L4 / L5 Inductor. I don't know if the N3DS XL has this hardware or not, and perhaps this is not even what L2 is.

Edit: After looking at 3dbrew it seems Arm11 has something called Level 2 Cache Controller.

After looking at 3dbrew I figured it out. Also do you happen to know if the N3DS XL does not need to make use of L2 or does it still use it?
It doesn't use it in games that doesn't need it. I mean like O3DS games. It use it in games like Xenoblade and Isaac. That said, using it improves it's quality, so that's why NTR and AuReinand gives you the option to enable it.
