Gaming What happened to Double Bloob?

I know when I first saw it, it certainly caught my eye.

It looks like some kind of action / puzzler. IGN's short blurb about the game says it's got some type of space-adventure theme.

Anyhoo, it was announced, I think, last year or perhaps early this year, but haven't really heard anything more about it. I can't imagine it takes very long to develop a puzzle game. Right now IGN has it listed as TBA 2008. Hope it's great for that kind of development cycle...or did they can it perhaps? :'(

Wow, it's been a long, long time. But yeah, I recall that game from many moons ago.

Pang was a great arcade game, BTW.

Here's what Wikipedia says:

Double Bloob is an upcoming title for the Nintendo DS to be developed by Nibris. A Wii version is also in development with the current working title of Double Pang. The Nintendo DS version is expected to be released sometime in Q2 2007, with the Wii version following on Q4 2007.

I never knew the DS supported such crisp graphics.

Its most likely a mock-up screen, since the characters all look anti-aliased and painted instead of pixel characters.
