GameFAQs says Q1 2009. Game looks pretty good, could be a huge improvement over Animal Crossing if it's done right. I'd try it now, but if it's anything like Animal Crossing (and it probably is) it'll be extremely tough to play in Japanese.

so far it really seems like an interesting game with far more features than Animal Crossing, although imho the animations and the music aren't as nice as in Animal Crossing.
I'm also looking forward to that game.
