Hacking What does Pb mean on an sd card?

Hi

I was looking on ebay for a kingston 1gb microsd and I noticed that some had following image on the back of the package and on the card itself.

Can somebody tell what this means?

In something as puny as a a microSD card I would have thought "no lead" would be a bit of a non-feature

yea Pb is Periodic symbols for Lead, and (P/b) basicly says ROHS Compliance.

In Latin, it's PlumBum for lead - therefore symbol Pb. It is the only metal that does not carry the Thomson Effect. Awesome stuff. Don't eat it out of respect of Pb's existence... and your body.

Did you know Pb can inhibit appropriate molecules from binding to their respective enzymes? Pb basically makes a very strong bond with enzymatic domains (practically permanent), thus is deemed to be a poison by International standards..
