What is skateboarding as transport like in the Netherlands? Everywhere I go if I am not on one I look and wonder (also do it for films if you want me to ruin a film night) but I am not sure how well it would work in the Netherlands*, and given https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d7/Dalton-in-Furness_UK.Market_St.jpg is a typical UK street is it not like I expect California style unbroken waves of smooth concrete.

*my main experiences being Amsterdam, the surrounding towns/areas of Amsterdam and Hook van Holland.

I don't live anywhere near Amsterdam but what you basically just do is look for the cycling roads and ride around like that
