Ofc i mean once we have full acces to switch code
Im pretty sure we will be able to emulate psx n64 generation, but do you think we will be able to emulate ps2 gc xbox generation?
Is the switch powerful enough?
Ofc it will require a lot of work, but will we get such emulator someday?
Thanks

Also, do you think we might be able to emulate all handheld on it?
3ds and psv included

Vita maybe? I think it's a little wonky chip wise.

Xbox 360 and PS3 is a no
Xbox One and PS4 is a no
anything later is a no

N64 and PS2 are a yes, with everything before too
Not sure about Sega or the Xbox original

Wii/Gamecube are a maybe? They are very similar so if the Gmecube is supported the Wii might be too

I like this Nes up to N64 sorry but I think we will see psp, PS2, GC, Wii and dreamcast simple fact is most of these emulators are on android and with the hardware being pretty damn close to a Nvidea shield I'm sure we can see these on switch with decent optimizations

Up to GC/Wii, PSP and MAYBE PS2. If 3DS emulation grows a bit, maybe we could even run 3ds games on there.

Hopefully.

As much as I want to see great homebrew on this system, it's up to whoever develops for it.
i guess the reason why wii u homebrew scene wasnt soo much active is because of the lack of power of the console
switch is way more powerful. I mean, maybe we wont just see emulator, maybe some developper will port pc games to switch :)

Reaching a bit there. Nothing wrong with optimism.

I just want to see emulation and retro ports that take advantage of the hardware we have.

anything before GC seems delusional to me sorry but i cant imagine playstationvita, and any console after that being possible
and even if 3ds was put on the switch it would run how you would imagine very bad and laggy but who knows, it doesn't seem like a good
thing to invest time into especially for coders who want to avoid piracy all together so sorry "next gen emulation"
on the go is crazy to want because time/effort that is needed for this unless you can code yourself, I cant think of anyone that
will be willing to put time into something such as the 3ds or vita emulation.

I'm really crossing my fingers we get 3DS at some point. Imagine Monster Hunter 4U on Switch with HD res. There's a ton of 3DS games that are undercut by the 3DS's low pixel density. Take a look at Mario 3D Land and Majora's Mask 3D in HD for example
