Obviously my intent was not going in that kind of discussion.
Obviously, you can boot the system and enjoy the vast library of gameware available.
But regarding the firmware itself, if there's an obligation to update it for a game (and yes, thy point, kind @
thorasgar, is valid), the game itself will do it.
My naive reading of it is:
If the system is blocked from the online services, but it's functions are 100% intact, why having the worry to update? Just game on.
I'd love to see the Youtube app on the consoleware (thus, being banned is not an option for me), but that still seems far away in time.
If in a couple revisions of the firmware no new come, I'll hack it like a good boy, but for now, I'll just backup my NAND and wait.
