my mother her DS lite with my old M3 ds real
and than my Question
What can i do for things with my m3 ds real?

I have download M3Kaura_v0.9beta1_M
it have touchpad and sakura
but it`s very slow on a 8 gb sd

it also includes touchpod and m3sakura.

m3sakura shouldn't be slow though.

You can use cheats with Sakura. Always make sure you are using the latest version of Sakura, as you will be using the latest version of the cheat database.

But it can use some alternate firmwares.
Drag n drop play games.
Use SDHC.
And pretty the standard of most flashcards on the market.

Please explain, how is it behind? I am about to buy my first flashcart and honestly know nothing, hell I just got by DS Lite yesterday.

I want to be able to play GBA games as well, so I know you need an expansion for that -- M3 seems to offer that as a bundle. So what features does it lack?

How is it behind?
It can do everything any other flashcard can do...other than the SCDS2 anyway with it's fancy GBA/SNES emu.

Well it lacks a stable RTS
Game guide (not really important, but still lacks it)
Stable updates. The M3 Team really hasn't been as frequent nor as reliable with their updates as they used to be.
You have to update the whole firmware (well other than Sakura, you can just move the engine around in that one) To update for AP.
Still requires a pretty fast MicroSD card for some games.
Build is really crappy. Even in the later versions they still used the clips.
Still can not connect to the Wii

Not to say the card is bad, but it's just no where near as good as it used to be. The team doesn't update it as much anymore. The card is slowly losing interest in the general flashcard market, and it's just has too much to live up to compared to other cards.

Well, what other options do I have i order to play GBA games on the thing, besides emulators/DStwo? The stickied flashcart comparison isn't clear to me on that...lots of talk about DSi compatibility, not a lot about GBA. Maybe I'm behind the times, lol. Can I just buy any old GBA flashcart, and it'll work harmoniously with any DS flashcart? And what's this Wii interoperability about?

I'm not finding any one compelling feature that breaks the cards apart. It looks like all the "1st tier" ones are pretty comparable, and the rest are cheap shit. I need a nice comparison matrix.

If you want to play GBA games on your DS, you can:

1) Buy a GBA flashcart (kind of a comparison between brands here)
2) Buy either a M3 Real or M3i Zero with a M3 GBA Expansion Pack
3) Buy an EZ Flash 3-in-1 Expansion Pack
4) Buy a GBA Multicart (as in what this site sells)


The reason why there hasn't been a lot of talk about GBA game compatibility is because DS, no matter what method you choose to use in order to play GBA games, it a given that you DS Lite (or phat DS) would play any and all GBA games without a hitch since it already has native GBA support.

Also, the reason why everyone's talking about the Supercard DSTwo is because it's a slot-1 flashcart that has the ability to play GBA and SNES games without the need of a slot-2 device (this feature is especially desirable to DSi/XL/LL owners). Although I personally don't know how well it emulates GBA and SNES games on those systems.

You really should just get a supercard dstwo. Most ds games run flawlessly on it, we will soon have an excellent snes emulator at our disposal, and a built in gba emulator.

For the record, if you have a ds lite an ez flash 3-in-one and a dstwo will usually cost you just as much as an m3 real+m3 gba expansion pack will. I know this because my m3 ds real perfect bundle cost me roughly $55 whereas my ez-flash 3-in-one and supercard dstwo cost me $15 and $35 respectively.

The supercard dstwo has do much more potential compared o the m3, and is backed by a team and company who has been in action since nearly the dawn of flashcarts. If you use gbaexploader with the dstwo you'll avoid any shortcomings of the built-in gba emulator, and in addition you'll soon have an snes emu available that doesn't suck like snemuds, and you'll probably never have to patch any ds games to get them to run again. Way more worthwhile than the outdated m3ds real if you ask me.
