Ok so i got my 3DS about 1-2 months ago. I got my scratches and now i wanna send it for repairs.
On the nintendo website they say that my 3ds is not in their system. i got my 3ds for NYC in the US and im here in Canada.
WHAT DO I DO?

Scratches aren't sufficient enough reason for repairs. If your system still operates fine, then they won't accept it.

I thought Nintendo accepted 3DS's that had scratched screens caused by the bottom screen?
Not on NoA's repair site but most of the 3ds's with the screen problem also have the loose hinge problem and they cover that.

Register the system on Club Nintendo to extend your warranty and get it in their system.

If the scratches are on the top screen where the bottom frame lines up, its their fault and they will replace it.
do explain cause my 3ds has these lines

I assumed he was referring to general scratches. Not to the screen-scratching issue.
although i wouldn't put that against him

Thank you.
Should it be free or do i HAVE to pay 55 bucks our of the money i don't have.
p.s. yea it is the line up.

Turn it on and throw it in the pond and leave it for a couple of hours.
Then send it back to Ninty and hope that with crossed fingers they'll replace it.

Jokes aside.
I also got very faint scratches on the top screen.
I hardly care much about it since it's barely visable.

If I where you could send it in and hope for the best.
Or just replace the shell yourself.

You'd rather do it the hard way? Post a picture on GBAtemp, lets see how bad it is.
You honestly expect him to trust some unofficial repair on his $150+ handheld, according to a random person on a forum, over a repair from the company that made it?

No, this guy is my best friend in Real life, there is a mall in our area that does it for short prices. It's not illegal.

Nowhere did he say it's illegal. Having a "best friend from REAL. LIFE!!!!!111!!!one!" doesn't warrant the fact that he should send it to him.

Actually he already knows about that, but I was reminding him, he also went there for DS hacking needs. I rest my case, Super
