It seems I am somewhat laid back these days (not that I was ever especially wound up about anything).
1)People not willing to learn. I have no gripe with you not knowing something* those not willing to help themselves out of the hole can rot there. Similarly those not willing to question things can join them although it is pretty much the same thing.
2)*Unless of course you purport to know it in the first place. Examples include incompetent IT shop staff, customer service operators and some builders/decorators/plumbers/whatever, fortunately I try to know enough to dodge that one but having to fix the incompetent peoples mistakes gets to me. I would lump incompetent government in there but I seem to be able to completely bypass all of it these days so it does not bother me.
3)Phones: any and all of them. Life is approximately 20000 times better since I let people know I will not be able to be contacted that way.
I am not adverse to real time communication but just not by phone.
4) Standards not being followed/made properly. As far as I am concerned standards are the greatest concept humans have yet to come up with. When people do not use them properly then I get annoyed.
5) Pointless paperwork/practices, stems from the made properly part of 4) but worthy of a whole point. I was helping out some friends set up a new machine the other day and I glanced at their policies folder (a bulging A4 folder) and in amongst it all was a policy on policies. Fortunately I do not have to deal with this one these days unless of course to get something sorted I have to ring customer (dis)service.
All except 4) do not have much effect on my life these days and fixing the problems caused by 4) seems to be quite lucrative for me and those I know.
