What are the risks of using a remote server to launch the browser exploits from?

There are no risks, as far as I can tell.

considering no wiiu hacks are permanent there is no risks lol you either get race attack or you get sucess and next time the wiiu is reseted is all gone and original.

If you selfhost, you don't need to be connected to the internet and therefore a zero change of updating your console. In order to connect to a remote server, you must be connected to the internet, so there's a possibility that your wiiu may get updated in the future.
