Jazzpunk is a really funny game imo.
Well said. I was going to mention it, but figured nobody would know it. But it's the most humoristic game since monkey Island, and arguably better at it.
As a runner up, i think I'll mention "this is not a game: wrong dimension".
Yeah... With such name you'll expect a few wins and nods and an ultimately short game. Right?
Wrong. Well... It is that. And then it points fun of most video game tropes. It remains a point n click by nature, but you've got to narrate a dumb zelda clone, a zelda clone as free 2 play, a lost phone game...it's easily the most innovative point n click I've ever played, but the humor (the game just wants to be left alone, and you pretty much trash the interface to become part of the game, which is narrated hilariously).
A few other mentions:
Gunpoint. Okay, it mimicks monkey Island humor in the dialogs, but it's the game that is somehow dumb and genius at the same time. I'm not even sure if I'm playing a puzzle game. It's.... Basically what watch-dogs wished it could be. You're a hacker that has to break in and avoid the guards. But boy, can you hack stuff. Like... Wire the lamp to an elevator, so it goes off when you're changing floors. The guard noticed and goes to the light switch, presuming it turns it back on. But you hacked it so that switch releases an electric shock in the outlet directly underneath. Meaning: you've created a trap to make the guard kill himself.
