Hardware What are the difference between cheat code versions?

I'm trying to use GBAATM, and am going to use ARCrypt to get some AR codes. But I know that there are differences between Gameshark codes, Action Replay codes, Code Breaker codes, and RAW. There are even differend versions.

What are the differences and similarites? I want to be sure I'm using the right information.
