First off I will *not* beg for help, it's demeaning.
Second, I wasn't sure where to post this, Backup loaders, or hacking.

Well here is my problem: I went to the shop channel to get a game (I already used the Safe Updater to 4.2), and I read somewhere that the update from the shop channel (after 4.2) is harmless. Well after I updated (still shows 4.2), I am now unable to use any USB loader, I am unable to install any cIOS, and I am unable to downgrade. Any other homebrew I use works fine.

Can somebody shed some light on this problem (maybe possibly help me fix this)?

Where did you find this, and who was the idiot who posted it?

4.2 Update is bad for both homebrew and piracy.

It sounds like your IOS249 has been replaced by a stub. It would probably be best to re-softmod your wii.

Maybe try using CSG?

I should have said this in the beginning, but when I use something (like the cIOS rev 14 installer) my wiimote, turns itself off (though usb loaders and such don't load up at all, so that is a problem). I don't know what to call it, it just shuts itself off at the first button presses of some apps. It worked before, because I was able to install cIOS rev 14. I am confused

, because of this I cannot fix this.

Re use the modify any wii guide sticky.

Thanks, it helped me fix it. Honestly, I never thought to look at a sticky that I had already done what it said.

To those of you that posted, what I had to do was in the sticky, and it was basically what you guys to me to do.
